MIG Welder – Automotive Fabrication

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a specialist UK engineering manufacturer, renowned for producing high-quality automotive exhausts and precision stainless steel components. You will work with jigs and fixtures to fabricate full exhaust assemblies as well as smaller sub-components, maintaining exceptional quality standards on every weld.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, precision, and pride in your craft are essential.

Key Responsibilities
* MIG weld full exhaust systems and smaller stainless steel components with accuracy.
* Work efficiently within jigs and fixtures to ensure components are held square and aligned.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Carry out finishing tasks: grinding, cleaning, and de-spattering to deliver defect-free welds.
* Maintain welding equipment and report any issues promptly.
* Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.
* Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.

Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in MIG welding, preferably stainless steel.
* Ability to deliver high-quality welds consistently and meet tight tolerances.
* Experience working with jigs/fixtures and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
* Welding certification is an advantage but not essential.
