Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to oversee our two Carlisle Extra Care services, Heysham Gardens and Burnside Court. Both are well-established and highly regarded, with vibrant, compassionate care teams supporting older adults. The services operate support cover during the day and waking night support as needed. They are registered with the CQC for Personal Care and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fulfill the role of registered manager with the CQC, ensuring compliance and meeting expectations of local authority commissioners.
2. Lead and motivate the staff team to deliver high standards of customer care and person-centred service, promoting independence, choice, and wellbeing.
3. Manage operational aspects of the service, supervise staff including a Deputy Manager and Support Workers.
4. Work effectively with families, agencies, and on-site Housing Scheme Managers, managing contracts and relationships.
5. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure care standards are met.
6. Respond to referrals, undertake assessments, and develop personalised care plans for residents.
Candidate Requirements
* At least three years of management experience in care settings supporting older people, such as extra care, home care, or residential care.
* Previous staff supervision and management experience.
* Warm, caring, person-centred approach and ability to work collaboratively with service users and families.
* Commitment to re-ablement principles, dignity, and independence.
* Strong organisational, accountability, and relationship management skills.
