Overview
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. You will help create a safe, happy environment and enable people to lead fulfilling lives through purposeful activities.
Hours and pay
Hours: 48
Salary: £12.85 to £13.05 per hour (A higher range is offered to applicants with qualifications in health and social care)
The role involves shift work and weekends on a rota basis. Flexible positions are available to fit around personal commitments. A range of working patterns can be discussed with your recruiter.
Key duties
* Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
* Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the home
* Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
* Executing tasks in a professional, timely and accurate manner
* Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
* Assisting residents in their daily activities whether in or away from the home
* Using your initiative when supporting residents during activities and day-to-day tasks
