Group Exercise Coach - Boxing & Thai Boxing

Virgin Active is looking for passionate and experienced Boxing and Thai Boxing Coaches to join our team and help launch an exciting new Combat Group Exercise concept within one of our Luxury Clubs in Marble Arch, with future opportunities to teach across other Virgin Active clubs in Central London.We are looking for individuals with experience in Boxing, Thai Boxing (Muay Thai), pad work, and coaching who have the energy and personality to inspire members in a group exercise environment.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Delivering high-quality Boxing and Thai Boxing Group Exercise classes.
2. Coaching members of all abilities in a safe, engaging and motivating environment.
3. Supporting the launch and growth of Virgin Active's new Combat products.
4. Creating an exceptional member experience through technical coaching and community building.
Essential Requirements
5. Previous experience in Boxing and/or Thai Boxing coaching.
6. Level 3 Personal Training Qualification
7. Strong technical understanding of striking fundamentals.
8. Confident coaching individuals and groups.
9. Passion for fitness, coaching and member experience.
10. Availability to attend the mandatory onboarding and training pathway below.
Training & Onboarding Pathway: As part of the recruitment and onboarding process, successful applicants must be available to attend the following training courses:
Thai Boxing Camp: 16th, 17th & 18th June 2026 09:00 – 17:00
This three-day course will cover:
11. Thai Boxing fundamentals
12. Striking techniques
13. Pad work
14. Coaching one-to-one sessions
15. Coaching in a Group Exercise environment
This course will also form part of our assessment and selection process for future Combat coaches.
Intro to Group Exercise: 23rd June 2026 09:00 - 17:00
Successful candidates from the Thai Boxing Camp will be invited to attend our Intro to Group Exercise training, covering:

17. Group Exercise fundamentals
18. Virgin Active product delivery expectations
Product Training Courses
Boxing bag and Thai boxing bag group exercise training courses will be early August (date TBC)
These courses will focus on how our Boxing and Thai Boxing Bag Group Exercise classes are delivered within Virgin Active and will prepare coaches for launch.
