Salary: £21,189 - £31,586 depending on experience, with the chance to earn more through overtime and standby payments.

What You’ll Be Doing
Our Construction Delivery team keeps Dorset moving. We look after more than 2,400 miles of roads, along with bridges, footways, drainage, signs and more. With our work programme growing, we have a range of roles on offer:
* Roadworker Level 1 (£24,790 - £26,409) - entry level, with potential to join an apprenticeship (starting at £25,992).
* Roadworker Level 2 / Ganger (£25,992 - £28,624) - for those with highways or construction experience, or LGV drivers.
* Roadworker Level 3 / Chargehand (£27,711 - £31,586) - leading and supervising highway or construction projects.
Hours Average 37 Per Week Across The Year
* Winter: 07:45 - 15:30 (35 hours)
* Summer: 07:45 - 16:30 Mon-Thu, 07:45 - 15:30 Fri (39 hours)
About You
You’re dedicated, keen to work outdoors, and eager to build a career in highways. You care about your local community and want to help keep Dorset a great place to live, work and visit.
If you’ve got hands-on experience in construction or supervision, brilliant. If not, we’ll give you the training and support to grow.
What We Need From You
You’ll need a full driving licence, a positive approach to learning, teamwork and reliability. Experience in any of the following is helpful but not essential: surfacing, line marking, kerbing, drainage, fencing, plant or agricultural work, or driving HGVs.
