Job summary

Are you a confident clinical leader with a passion for urgent mental health care? Do you thrive in high‑pressure environments and want to shape crisis response services? If so, we invite you to join our dedicated team at Miranda House in Hull.

The Mental Health Crisis Intervention Team (MHCIT) is a service for adults aged 18‑64 and their families and carers living in Hull and East Riding who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis.

As a Band 7 Clinical Shift Lead within the MHCIT, you'll provide senior clinical oversight and leadership across the 24/7 service. You'll coordinate shift activity, support clinical decision‑making, and ensure safe, effective care for individuals in acute mental health distress.

This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of care, managing risk, and supporting both registered and unregistered staff during complex presentations. You'll work closely with emergency services, community teams, and partner agencies to deliver responsive, person‑centred interventions.

We welcome applications from Registered Mental Health Nurses, Registered Learning Disabilities Nurses, and Social Workers with experience in mental health settings. If you're passionate about crisis care, confident in managing risk, and committed to delivering compassionate, person‑centred support, we'd love to hear from you.

We are a 24/7, 7‑day service therefore the successful candidate will be expected to work a shift pattern including long days, weekends and nights.
