We are working with the renewables division of a well respected M&E contractor who are looking for an M&E Project Manager to work on an ongoing design and build decarbonisation government contract worth £10m in West London (Chelsea & Kensington) on which they are acting as princial contractor. Initially you will work across 4 council owned projects in West London simultaneously (library’s/sports centres/care-homes) where they have been tasked to remove boilers and replace them with 700KW air source heat pumps at a value of £2.5m pr/project. They self-deliver the pipework packages but subcontract the electrical, BMS, thermal installation and building works. Joining a management team you will work closely with an operations manager and senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to manage your trades teams and specialist subcontractors to successfully deliver the projects to PC. They are happy to consider people on a contract (CIS or Ltd) or permanent basis. The initial contracts last for circa 2 years with add-ons likely.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Overseeing full M&E installation of the project
* Responsible for financial budgets
* Must have experience in fast track office fit - outs
* Good understanding of commercial aspects of construction
* Leading a site team & subcontractors
* Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety regulations.
* Collaborate with internal teams for seamless project coordination and communication. Produce and manage all required health and safety documentation, including Risk and Method Statements.
* Manage the commissioning activities and resolve any health and safety issues that arise.
* Attend site meetings, negotiate material and labour orders, and maintain awareness of the project's Profit & Loss position.
