The Asset Management Assistant plays a key role in supporting the organisations device lifecycle processes. This position focuses on receiving and processing returned laptops, ensuring accurate asset records, and maintaining up-to-date information in tracking spreadsheets and inventory systems. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to follow established procedures consistently.
Asset Processing & Handling
* Receive, log, and inspect returned laptops and accessories.
* Verify device condition, functionality, and completeness (e.g., chargers, bags, peripherals).
* Record serial numbers, asset tags, and device specifications.
* Perform basic device preparation tasks such as powering on devices, resetting to factory settings, or flagging items that require technical assessment or repair.
* Identify items suitable for redeployment, repair, recycling, or disposal.
Data Entry & Reporting
1. Update asset registers, inventory spreadsheets, and tracking logs with accurate and timely information.
2. Maintain clear records of device status, location, user assignment history, and disposal or redeployment actions.
