HSE Supervisor - Heavy Lifting Operations - Nationwide Projects
Full-time, Permanent Position

Requirements:
* Recognised HSE qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate
* Approximately 2 to 3 years’ experience within an HSE role
* Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and compliance standards
* Experience working around heavy plant, lifting operations, or mechanical environments
* Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and basic incident investigations
* Strong organisational and communication skills
Location
Initially Hinkley Point, Somerset for about 6 months, with future projects across the UK including Sizewell and other major infrastructure schemes.

About the Role
The HSE Supervisor will provide day-to-day health, safety and environmental support across project activities, ensuring compliance with legislation, internal management systems, and client requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the primary HSE contact for project teams on site
* Monitoring compliance with HSE management systems and identifying improvement areas
* Supporting safe delivery of heavy lifting and engineering activities
* Assisting with risk assessments and method statements to ensure practical site application
* Carrying out site inspections, audits, and compliance checks
* Supporting incident reporting and investigations, including corrective actions
* Analysing safety trends and advising operational management on improvements
* Coaching site teams on HSE standards and best practice
* Maintaining accurate HSE documentation and reporting data
* Supporting environmental compliance and standards maintenance
* Working collaboratively with clients and regulatory stakeholders where required
* Promoting a proactive and approachable safety culture across site operations
* Leading by example through active site engagement
