Our client is a leading UK defence contractor with a long-term partnership to manage and maintain a large and diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial MoD assets across the UK.
Working as part of a national estate management team, the Mobile Electrical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of critical electrical systems across multiple sites.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance across a wide range of electrical plant, equipment, and buildings, while providing expert technical support and maintaining high standards across the estate.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver maintenance across site services, electrical systems, plant, and infrastructure
Carry out specialist electrical maintenance, including building wiring
Prioritise and manage workloads across multiple sites
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Participate in the on-call rota within the maintenance team
Monitor contractor performance and ensure work meets required standards About You
Proven experience maintaining electrical systems or equipment
Comfortable working across multiple locations and managing varied workloads
Strong understanding of electrical regulations and technical standards
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions Essential Qualifications
Electrical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance
Good understanding of the latest IEE Wiring Regulations
Full, clean UK driving licence
AP/LV (Authorised Person) Desirable (training provided if not held) Location
MOD Rosneath, Argyll & Bute, Scotland, G84 0QT.
This is a mobile role covering sites across Scotland and the North West of England. Flexibility on your home base is available, provided you are happy to travel.
