Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Factory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining high-quality standards. Duties
* Oversee all aspects of factory operations, including production, quality control, and maintenance.
* Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimising resource utilisation.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
* Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Lead, train, and mentor factory staff to enhance productivity and foster a positive workplace culture.
* Monitor production performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and sales, to align production goals with business objectives.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
* Strong understanding of production processes, quality control standards, and health and safety regulations.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
* Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
* Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools for scheduling and reporting purposes.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation.
* A degree in engineering, manufacturing management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
