Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in West Sussex. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN/SEND, as well as other needs such as SEMH. We work with children and young people with MLD and SLD. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND tutors who prefer 1:1 tutoring in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to improve engagement and educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require support in educational and social-emotional areas
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Provide holistic, engaging sessions aligned with needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and DBS (we can help obtain at cost)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with right to work in the UK, including remote/online assignments

Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
