Private Client Solicitor

We are acting on behalf of a reputable law firm in Billericay seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join their established team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor looking to work on a varied caseload within a supportive and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Advise and manage a portfolio of private client matters, including: Wills, estates, and probate administration. Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Deputyship applications.
Trusts, inheritance tax planning, and estate planning.
Draft, review, and execute legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. Provide clear and practical advice to clients, ensuring they understand complex legal matters.
Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties to ensure smooth progression of matters.
Manage cases efficiently, maintaining accurate records and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Support and mentor junior solicitors or paralegals where appropriate.
Keep abreast of changes in private client law and related regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
Qualified solicitor with relevant experience in private client work.
Strong knowledge of wills, probate, LPAs, trusts, and estate planning.
Excellent client management and communication skills.
Highly organised with the ability to manage a caseload independently.
Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
Proficient in legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements
About You At least 12 months’ experience working in a residential conveyancing department (essential). Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A proactive and professional approach with a genuine interest in property law. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Experience using conveyancing case management software (desirable).
