SEND Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Mainstream Schools)
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for students within mainstream schools.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support children with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
The Role:
* Providing 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities in line with EHCPs and individual needs
* Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
* Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
* A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
