Mode Search is partnering with a distinguished luxury homeware brand to support the search for a Client Development Manager – UK & International. This business is renowned for its commitment to British craftsmanship and timeless design, offering high-end furniture, lighting, fabrics, and wallpaper through close collaboration with skilled artisans.
This position is based in London, with hybrid working and regular in-person meetings. The role involves frequent client engagement both within the UK and internationally. The Client Development Manager reports directly to the Head of Sales.
The Role
* Drive revenue growth across furniture and lighting collections by managing existing accounts and developing new client relationships across UK and international markets.
* Generate and support sampling and proforma activity for fabrics and wallpaper to meet team-wide annual goals.
* Consistently schedule and attend meetings with strategically important clients in line with weekly outreach targets.
* Manage the full sales pipeline, from lead generation to close, ensuring targets are consistently met or exceeded.
* Utilize tools such as PowerBI to maintain a strong understanding of client segmentation and behavior within your account portfolio.
* Deeply understand client needs and provide tailored product solutions that build trust and long-term loyalty.
* Ensure all client activity is accurately tracked in CRM systems, aligned to agreed strategies and KPIs.
* Monitor competitor and market activity, sharing insights to inform business development strategies.
* Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports, supporting them in achieving their targets and career growth.
* Represent the brand at key industry events and actively participate in showroom-based and off-site events that support brand visibility and client engagement.
Requirements
* Significant experience in a client development or account management role within the luxury interiors, design, or homeware sector.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain executive-level relationships across diverse markets.
* Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets across multiple product categories and regions.
* Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
* Confident using CRM systems and data tools to manage account activity and performance tracking.
* Experience managing multiple high-value client accounts, with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
* Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a collaborative management style.
* Passion for craftsmanship, quality, and high-end design, with a strong knowledge of the luxury interiors landscape.
* Self-motivated, highly organized, and adaptable to both UK and international client needs and expectations.
