This role is key to maintaining healthy cash flow, reducing aged debt, and promoting strong working relationships with commissioners, clients, and internal departments. Key Responsibilities of Credit Controller Manage the accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate and timely collection of income. Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and debts. Resolve queries and discrepancies with clients, commissioners, and internal teams. Maintain the sales ledger and ensure all payments are correctly allocated. Prepare aged debt reports and assist with month-end close and reporting. Escalate overdue accounts and support recovery procedures when necessary. Work collaboratively with the billing team to improve processes and ensure accurate invoicing. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications and payment plans. Contribute to cash flow forecasting and financial planning. Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies and data protection regulations. Essential: Experience in credit control or a similar finance role. Strong communication and negotiation skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in using finance software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
