Compliance Technologist Location: NW London (On-site) Diamond Search Recruitment is representing a leading artisan food producer. We are seeking a Compliance Technologist to join the team on-site in London. Reporting into the Technical Team, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with food regulations, managing product specifications, and supporting both suppliers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update product specifications, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and customer expectations. Validate product labels to comply with legal, food safety, and labelling regulations. Ensure claims such as nutritional, allergen, provenance, and sustainability (e.g., RSPO) are accurate and supported. Manage and update internal specification databases. Support internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is audit-ready. Monitor food safety alerts, conduct horizon scanning, and implement corrective actions. Liaise with suppliers to obtain accurate information, certifications, and compliance documentation. Approve and maintain supplier risk assessments and manage related documents. Provide technical support to customers regarding specifications and compliance. Complete customer forms, set-up documents, samples, and ad-hoc requests. Support training of teams on specification systems and compliance processes. Provide accurate manufacturing specifications to factory teams. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Technical teams to align on requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency. Support key Technical KPIs and maintain nutritional databases (e.g., A la Calc system). Carry out ad-hoc technical projects as required. About You (Qualifications & Experience) Previous experience in specification management within food manufacturing or FMCG. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality assurance, and specification management. Proficiency with specification systems/databases and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Good understanding of raw materials, nutritional analysis, and production processes. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related discipline.
