Trainee Teaching Assistant – SEN School (Full-Time, Long-Term | Personal Care Required)
Vision for Education are looking for a Trainee Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a specialist SEN school supporting students with additional needs.
This is a long-term, full-time role ideal for candidates from a care, support work, healthcare or mental health background who are looking for consistent hours and a rewarding career in education.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:45pm
Full-time only – applicants must be available for these hours
About the Role
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will support students with:
• Autism (ASC)
• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
You will be:
• Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
• Assisting with learning, communication and daily routines
• Providing personal care (toileting, hygiene, physical support)
• Helping manage behaviour and emotional needs
• Working as part of a supportive school team
Essential Requirements
❗ This is not an entry-level role without relevant experience

• Be available full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:45am – 3:45pm)

• Have experience providing personal care
• Be confident working with complex needs
• Hold GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4 or above)
