About the role:
We are seeking a Manager to join our rapidly growing FinTech and Payments Tax practice, with a pathway to progress their career further. Based within PwC's Financial Services Tax team, this role calls for someone with a broad set of skills and as a Manager you will work as part of a team to provide excellent quality services to a high-profile portfolio of both UK and multinational clients
You will be given the opportunity to develop your skills, drive your ambition and work with experienced Partners, Directors and Senior Managers across the team. The team will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice your tax technical skills in a stimulating and challenging environment.
What your days will look like:
1. Deliver tax advisory services to a diverse client base, offering proactive, forward-thinking advice and exceptional client support.
2. Maintain expertise in UK and global tax legislation, applying complex rules to provide practical guidance for FinTech and Financial Services clients.
3. Lead and mentor tax professionals, ensuring quality, compliance, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing team culture.
4. Manage risk and engagement economics, adhering to PwC's ethical standards while overseeing budgeting, billing, and compliance processes.
This role is for you if:
5. Professional tax qualification (, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
6. Post-qualification tax experience, specialising in financial services and/or technology sectors, with exposure to FinTech.
7. Skilled in explaining complex tax concepts clearly to non-specialists, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
8. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving expertise, coupled with sound judgement under pressure.
9. Proven leadership and team management capabilities, fostering collaboration and performance.
10. Client-focused mindset with a passion for helping businesses achieve their commercial objectives.
