About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Everyone who works here understands that our residents are people just like them, with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those individuals.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Your attention to detail will be evident in the environment you help create. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you will do so with kindness and professionalism.
HC-One is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide comprehensive training. You should have excellent time management and organizational skills, along with positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people. Strong communication skills—listening and giving instructions—are essential, and you should always communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. It is important that you can recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know what actions to take if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be proactive in seeking advice and reporting concerns, including escalation if necessary.
We will provide full training, offering a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy a variety of benefits to support your physical and psychological well-being, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance cover
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible access to pay
* Learning and development opportunities with support for qualifications
* GP online service for 24/7 virtual GP consultations for you and your children under 16
* Opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues in a supportive team
* Colleague discounts on over 1600 high street stores
* Confidential Employee Assistance Programme offering 24/7 support for physical, mental, and financial issues
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a friend scheme offering up to £1000 per referral, depending on the role
