Together, we’re building a better future. We’ve evolved our Housing Officer role into Customer & Neighbourhood Officer, and we’d love for you to join our dedicated, highly motivated team. About the role We’ve evolved our traditional Housing Officer role into a more holistic, resident‑focused position: Customer & Neighbourhood Officer. This is a highly visible, rewarding role where you’ll be out in our communities, building relationships, supporting residents and ensuring our neighbourhoods are safe, well‑managed and thriving. You’ll provide a proactive, responsive and compassionate service, working closely with residents to understand their needs and help them sustain their tenancies. You’ll manage a mixed‑tenure patch, handle a variety of day‑to‑day and complex cases, and work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to deliver area plans and improve neighbourhoods. Every day, you’ll be making a meaningful difference to the lives of the people who call our homes theirs. What you’ll do Deliver a visible, proactive and resident‑focused neighbourhood management service Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and be a consistent point of contact Ensure high levels of service performance and customer satisfaction Identify when specialist support is needed to help residents sustain their tenancies Use data insights to drive improvements across your patch Manage a diverse caseload, including complex tenancy and neighbourhood issues Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver area plans Advocate for residents and ensure services meet our Customer Care Standards Travel across Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas as part of your role What we’re looking for Must haves Strong customer focus and understanding of social housing issues and legislation Experience managing a varied and demanding workload, including case management Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate Ability to work independently, stay organised and manage competing priorities Commitment to continuous personal and professional development A positive, proactive approach and the ability to build strong relationships Full driving licence, access to your own vehicle and ability to travel across Buckinghamshire Business mileage paid at 45p per mile (minus home‑to‑work commute) Nice to haves Knowledge of ASB, tenancy sustainment, safeguarding, benefits or housing law Experience working in a regulated environment CIH Level 3 qualification Experience signposting residents to support services (e.g., Citizens Advice, debt management, older people’s services) For added brilliance Confidence supporting residents in challenging situations A genuine passion for community wellbeing and neighbourhood improvement Benefits At SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
