The Role – Teaching Assistant As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils aged 4–19 across a variety of classes and learning environments. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 Teaching Assistant support as well as small group assistance to help pupils stay focused and make progress. Working with pupils who have a range of needs including ASD, communication delays, sensory needs, SEMH, PMLD, and developmental challenges. Helping to create a calm, structured and positive classroom environment. Supporting pupils with personal care, feeding and mobility when required (full training can be provided). Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and confident. Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists and other Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support.
