Planners will support the team and senior planners on work packages and projects of varying size and complexity. Work packages may vary in size, with Planners working across multiple smaller projects or larger ones of significant value. A Planner is responsible for building and maintaining their assigned schedule(s), understanding the logic within the scope, and managing interfaces with other work packages or projects. They will liaise with stakeholders to gather data for regular progress updates and play a key role in change management. Their schedules will drive project work, ensuring client objectives are met, and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
1. Creating, developing, and maintaining project schedules aligned with project requirements on complex, risk-managed projects or programmes.
2. Adhering to NEC or FIDIC contract processes for schedule data management and submissions.
3. Assisting the project team in developing status reports to inform management of project progress.
4. Reducing uncertainty, improving efficiency, and clarifying project objectives.
5. Interacting with the project team to define scope, develop, and update schedules, including cost and variance analysis.
6. Assisting project managers in scheduling work and coordinating assignments.
7. Evaluating schedule progress and performance to identify issues.
8. Analyzing float, critical path, and constraints to understand the impact of changes or slippages, and recommending recovery actions.
9. Supporting change management processes and procedures.
10. Undertaking project progress reviews.
11. Monitoring and advising on project KPIs.
12. Understanding and explaining Earned Value Management (EVM) reports.

Candidates must be available to work at our client office in Dungeness four days per week.
