The Role
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and curated datasets that support analytics, reporting, and downstream applications across enterprise platforms. The role focuses on delivering reliable, secure, and high‑quality data solutions within a regulated BFSI environment.
Your responsibilities:
* Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines.
* Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large‑scale data processing.
* Perform SQL optimization and data modelling for analytical workloads.
* Ensure data quality, validation, lineage, and governance across datasets.
* Automate workflows using orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect).
* Integrate data pipelines with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
* Secure data platforms through access controls and compliance standards.
* Monitor data pipelines to ensure availability, reliability, and performance.
* Collaborate with analysts, developers, and platform teams to deliver data solutions.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Strong experience with Python and SQL.
* Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipelines.
* Experience using workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar).
* Knowledge of cloud storage and databases.
* Understanding of data quality, lineage, and monitoring practices.
* Familiarity with CI/CD concepts applied to data engineering.
* Experience with Apache Spark or distributed data processing frameworks.
* Exposure to streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).
* Knowledge of data governance or metadata management tools.
