Mechanical Project Engineer - West Yorkshire -0 Water Sector\n\nJoin our clients team as a Mechanical Project Engineer, where you'll lead mechanical engineering activities across all project stages—ensuring technical excellence and commercial success on water and wastewater treatment projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Coordinate mechanical services pre- and post-contract to meet project goals.\n\n * Vet procurement packages and manage off-site manufacturing and modular installations.\n\n * Oversee technical drawings and ensure coordination across disciplines.\n\n * Support site teams and Quantity Surveyors with installation and commercial matters.\n\n * Conduct factory inspections, audits, and ensure top-tier installation quality.\n\n * Lead project and subcontractor reviews to monitor progress and performance.\n\n * Drive a positive team culture and maintain compliance with HSE standards.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).\n\n * 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in water/wastewater.\n\n * CSCS card, SMSTS (or SSSTS minimum), and First Aid at Work.\n\n * Strong understanding of mechanical systems, MMC, and Lean Construction.\n\n * Organised, commercially aware, and technically competent.\n\n * Excellent communication and IT skills.\n\nWhat Our Client Offers\n\n * Competitive salary + car allowance\n\n * 26 days annual leave (+ buy/sell options)\n\n * Private medical insurance (with family cover options)\n\n * Life assurance & 8% matched pension\n\n * Flexible/hybrid working\n\n * 2 paid volunteering days\n\n * Professional membership support\n\n * Access to flexible benefits (e.g. dental, travel insurance, Cycle to Work)
