The Role
Sofina Foods is looking for a experienced Head of Operations to lead our sliced meats production facility in Coalville. This is a critical site leadership role with full accountability for day-to-day operations, people performance, and site standards across Production, Engineering, Health & Safety, Planning, and Warehouse.
You'll be responsible for setting the pace, building an empowered leadership team, and delivering against key KPIs to ensure we meet customer demand efficiently, safely and to the highest quality.
The Ideal Candidate
You'll be an inspiring and experienced site leader, passionate about manufacturing excellence and team development.
* Strong background in operational leadership within chilled food and/or protein manufacturing
* Experience leading factory teams in high-volume, fast-paced environments
* Proven ability to improve site performance through people, process and system optimisation
* Excellent knowledge of food safety, health & safety and continuous improvement methodologies
* Hands-on, collaborative approach with strong communication and coaching skills
* Able to build trust, influence stakeholders and drive a winning team culture

Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead all site operations, driving performance, efficiency and continuous improvement
* Deliver operational KPIs including OEE, yield, labour cost, waste, and service
* Build a strong, focused leadership team with a culture of accountability and development
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, legal and retailer standards
* Work cross-functionally with Technical, HR, Commercial and Planning to meet business objectives
* Champion a positive site culture and colleague engagement
* Act as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including customer representatives
