You'll work collaboratively with the Business owner and the team, in the day-to-day running of our instore and online retail operations. This is a part time role, working 9am until 4pm, 3/4 days per week including Saturdays on a rota basis, we can offer some flexibility with days and hours.
What you'll be doing:
* Provide the highest standards of service to customers in store and via email, website, and on the telephone
* Process instore and online orders for delivery, ensuring accurate products, quantities and delivery specifications
* Communicate effectively with customers via email and phone regarding order confirmations, stock availability, and delivery timeframes
* Investigate and resolve order discrepancies and delivery issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution
* Build and maintain strong product and wine knowledge to confidently advise customers
* Create content and manage social media accounts
* Provide support to the Director by managing their diary, organising meetings, and monitoring their inbox
* Assist with signups and manage our loyalty programme
* Plan and run tasting events from conception to delivery
* Ensure the shop environment is clean, safe and well presented, with an eye for detail and flair for visual merchandising
* Manage stock: receive deliveries, replenish shelves, and assist with quarterly stock takes
* Ensure the shop is fully stocked with product range, packaging and office supplies
Desired personal qualities and qualifications:
* Passionate about wine and eager to learn more
* Previous experience working in a customer focussed, retail or hospitality role
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to build good working relationships
* Reliable, positive and pro-active with the ability to prioritise, hit deadlines, and take ownership
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* Personable, team-oriented, and capable of thinking creatively
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* WSET qualifications - desirable
