*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. We are a friendly family run business centrally based in Bournemouth and we go out to customers across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and further if required. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems and appliances in residential settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment. The perfect candidate will need to be enthusiastic, work great alone or as a team and is able to take pride in their work.
The Gas Engineer position is a full time on site role, 8.00-17.00 Monday to Friday with overtime available.
Start Date: ASAP – Full time role.
*Responsibilities*
* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
* Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on site.
* Assemble and plumb gas systems using hand tools and power tools.
* Carry out heavy lifting tasks as needed during installations or repairs.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or concerns to management.
*Experience*
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
* Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations.
* Experience operating power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
* A valid driving licence is essential for transporting equipment to various job sites.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the role.
