This is an exceptional opportunity to join a well-resourced specialist setting supporting children and young people aged 6-19 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), complex medical needs, and sensory or physical impairments. The school provides a nurturing, therapeutic environment where pupils are supported to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their full potential. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both in the classroom and within wider learning environments. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with their learning, development, and emotional well-being Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver personalised learning programmes Assisting students with autism, complex needs, and communication difficulties Promoting independence, confidence, and positive outcomes Supporting community-based and outdoor learning activities Providing personal care and participating in physical intervention when required Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment We're Looking For Candidates Who Are: ✔ Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs ✔ Patient, resilient, and compassionate ✔ Proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused ✔ Strong communicators who can build positive relationships ✔ Committed to safeguarding and promoting student well-being ✔ Team players who can also work independently ✔ Educated to Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English Experience within education, care, support work, healthcare, residential care, youth work, or similar settings would be highly advantageous.
