Job Title: Installation Technician
Location: Based in Thetford with regular travel to customer sites
Salary: £31,000 per annum
Hours: 39 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Installation Technician to join a growing team based in Thetford.
The role involves carrying out on-site installations, maintenance, and servicing of specialist access equipment, ensuring safe and effective solutions are provided for customers.
The position requires strong practical ability, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out on-site installations safely and efficiently, following set standards and specifications.
Assemble and secure components using hand and power tools.
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and building regulations.
Provide customers with clear guidance on correct product use.
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments when required.
Work closely with supervisors and project teams to meet deadlines.
Keep accurate job records, including photographs and customer sign-offs.
Drive company vehicles to deliver equipment and materials to sites.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in an installation, construction, or assembly role (preferred but not essential).
Confident in the safe use of hand and power tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to varying site conditions.
Good communication skills with both customers and colleagues.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions.
Full UK driving licence – essential.
CSCS card (or willingness to obtain) – advantageous.
Solid understanding of health and safety, including manual handling.
