The role of Chef Manager includes:
- Managing the daily operations of a busy kitchen, leading a team of a Chef and catering General Assistants.
- Designing and preparing varied menus catering to individual needs, including special diets.
- Managing stock, wastage, and ensuring the kitchen operates within budget and professional standards.
- Overseeing the Food Safety Management System and team compliance.
- Handling documentation related to audits, HACCP, and Health & Safety.
Skills and experience required:
- Proven experience as a Chef, Catering Manager, or Head Cook in a similar environment.
- Knowledge of menu planning, costing, and risk assessments.
- Experience in staff supervision and team leadership.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor for interacting with customers, visitors, and colleagues.
