Are you a creative and knowledgeable Art and Design specialist, looking to share your skills with our students on a part-time basis?
Chichester College is seeking an innovative and engaging Art and Design Lecturer to oversee our Level 1 Art and Design provisions. This role includes course management and curriculum design responsibilities. Our Level 1 Art courses aim to provide learners with a stepping stone to further education and introduce transferable skills.
Salary: Pro-rata of £26,716 - £41,659 per annum (i.e., £21,372.80 - £33,327.20)
Hours: 29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver teaching and learning activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
* Prepare learning materials and conduct assessments and assignments promptly.
* Manage administrative tasks, providing reports and statistics on student and teaching matters.
* Contribute to achieving high student retention and success rates, meeting or exceeding targets.
* Develop curricula and learning activities considering literacy, numeracy, equality, and diversity.
* Understand and adhere to safeguarding responsibilities.
* Stay updated on educational sector issues, policies, and changes.
* Participate in marketing activities to promote the College and support recruitment efforts.
* Deliver literacy and numeracy sessions.
Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
* Level 2 literacy and numeracy
* Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in a related subject
