The Installation Technician is responsible for delivering on-site desktop hardware installation services as part of the wider service delivery function. This role involves unboxing, assembling, and installing IT equipment at user desks, including connecting peripherals and essential cabling such as power and network connections. The technician will perform basic device checks, including power‑on self-tests, and may initiate automated build processes orplete simple scripted configurations following user login. While the technical requirements are straightforward, the role demands strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow structured procedures. Technicians may also be required to work variable shift patterns depending on business needs.
