Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced, motivated and enthusiastic mental health practitioner and supervisor to work within our service and as part of our Integrated Single Point of Access. You will have an ability to work within a team and to work independently. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills and be an organised individual who can work creatively to develop and support the management with the day-to-day operation of the iSPA. This an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced counsellor/therapist hoping to expand their managerial skillset to join Bromley Y.
We are looking for applicants who are knowledgeable and passionate about Bromley, with 5 years experience of working with children and young people. The post involves line management and supervision of practitioners, working with colleagues to determine intervention pathways, manage risk and allocations, chairing consultation meetings and working with the partnership in Bromley as necessary. The successful individual will work with people from various cultural backgrounds, ages and ability, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equity, diversity inclusion and belonging.
Main duties of the job include working within the Bromley Integrated Single Point of Access (iSPA), delivered in partnership with Bromley CAMHS. The iSPA manages all referrals for children and young people with mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties in Bromley. Your role will focus on developing Clinical Practice within the iSPA and deputising for the iSPA managers to provide an efficient and effective service for children and young people.
This role will provide an opportunity to support the pathway between the iSPA and Bromley Y, with a focus on seamless pathways, risk management, safeguarding and information sharing.

Responsibilities
* ROLE FOCUS: The post holder will work within the Bromley Integrated Single Point of Access (iSPA) in partnership with Bromley CAMHS. Develop Clinical Practice, deputise for iSPA managers, provide high quality risk assessments, screenings and interventions, and support the pathway between the iSPA and Bromley Y.
* Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary team and work with colleagues to ensure effective service provision, safeguarding and risk management.
* Contribute to development of early intervention and prevention services for Children and Young People; ensure equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.
* Hybrid working arrangement with base in Oxleas Stepping Stones and time in Ethelbert Road; flexible to meet needs of children and families.
* Interface between iSPA and Bromley Y to provide a seamless pathway, improve processes, and support regular team meetings and professional forums.
* Leadership: deputise for the iSPA & Systems Lead; line management for BY iSPA team; participate in Bromley Y Practice Lead meetings; support innovations within the iSPA.
* Clinical: ensure risk assessments, management of complex cases, involvement in clinical initiatives, and delivery of evidence-based interventions for CYP with emotional and mental health needs.
* Communication and Risk: liaise with clinicians and managers, ensure escalation procedures are followed, and respond to distressing situations appropriately.
* PRACTICE RESPONSIBILITIES: deliver specialist evidence-based therapeutic interventions with a caseload of children and families; plan interventions; conduct assessments; supervise other staff; manage workload; participate in service meetings; contribute to evaluating service delivery and outcomes; maintain case and supervision records in line with Bromley Y policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualifications Essential: Professional qualification in a field relevant to child and adolescent mental health; Enhanced DBS; Professional Accreditations (BACP, UKCP, HCPC, GMC, NMC) or equivalent.
* Knowledge and Skills Essential: Knowledge of employment legislation, ability to work in partnership with children and families, safeguarding knowledge, ability to deliver training and psychoeducation, and ability to apply Data Protection and Equality Act principles.
* Experience Essential: Five years of experience working with children and families including CYP with emotional and mental health needs; experience of screening and triaging complex information; experience with multi-agency partners; safeguarding and risk assessment experience; proven leadership abilities.
