Head of Property Services – Social Housing – £500 + per day – Interim
We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Property Services to join a Social Housing organisation on an interim basis. This Head of Property Services role will lead the delivery of maintenance, repairs, voids, compliance and planned works services across a housing portfolio, ensuring high quality, safe and efficient homes for residents.
The Head of Property Services will report into the Property Services Director and take full leadership responsibility across property operations, including contract management, compliance, asset performance and service delivery.

The role
As Head of Property Services, you will lead the Maintenance Department, ensuring responsive repairs, voids, planned works and compliance services are delivered effectively.
The Head of Property Services will drive service improvements, manage contracts, and ensure strong performance across internal teams and external contractors.
You will oversee key functions including Compliance Manager, Contract Manager Repairs, Contract Manager Planned Works and Voids, and Team Leaders.
Key Responsibilities for the Head of Property Services role
* Lead delivery of repairs, maintenance, voids and compliance services
* Oversee procurement and contract management across maintenance services
* Manage budgets, financial planning and value for money delivery
* Drive performance against KPIs and service targets
* Lead on compliance, risk management and building safety obligations
* Use data and insight to improve service delivery and asset performance
* Work closely with leadership teams to deliver strategic objectives
* Develop strong partnerships with contractors and stakeholders
* Lead teams through change and drive a high performance culture
About you
* Proven experience operating as a Head of Property Services or senior property leader within Social Housing
* Strong background in repairs, planned works, compliance and maintenance services
* Experience managing large teams, budgets and contractor performance
* Strong understanding of housing regulations, compliance and asset management
* Confident leader with ability to drive service improvement and change
