ALN Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £92.95 per day (minimum)

We are recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a Primary School located in the NP12 area. This role begins in April 2026 and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on children’s learning and wellbeing.
Role Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with ALN
Assist with individual learning programmes created by the class teacher and ALNCo
Support children with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties and general learning delays
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in classroom activities
Work closely with teachers, support staff and external agencies
Help maintain an inclusive and safe learning environment
Candidate Requirements
Experience working with children, ideally in a school environment
Understanding of ALN or a willingness to learn
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
A patient, supportive and proactive approach
Ability to work well as part of a team
