You will have the ability to run multiple concurrent medium sized projects, undertake a client facing role in the development, design and co-ordination of engineering projects, which could include producing design packages for contractors working on a design and build contract. Responsible for running of medium size projects.
Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.\nRole Responsibilities\n * Responsible for running of medium size projects. Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.\n * Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes\n * Surveys tests and reports on existing electrical installations\n * Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements\n * Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with and provides advice to client\n * Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams\n * Carries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards\n * Responsible for technical content and accuracy of Trainee, Graduates and Engineers\n * Validation and checking of designs and specifications\nRole Requirements\nYou will need to possess the following professional and technical expertise:\n * BEng, MSc, and have sufficient experience\n * MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND + appropriate experience or equivalent\n * Working towards Chartered Eng status\n * Competent in specification design/drawing for several building types\n * Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation\n * Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc\n * Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software\n * Good understanding of BS standards\n * Ability to prioritise own workload\n * Ability to work to deadlines\n * Managerial Skills\n * Background in consulting or construction preferred.\n * Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.\n * Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group\nRED offers a variety of benefits, including but not limited to:\n23 days annual leave rising to 28 days annual leave over 5 years’ service\nHoliday purchase and buy back scheme\nHybrid Working\nContributory company pension scheme\nHealthcare Scheme (Company funded cover is dependant on level)\nNon-contractual bonus awards\nTraining sponsorship\nCharity volunteering leave\nWellness days/ initiatives.\nSalary commensurate with experience.\nOur people work in friendly teams with a collaborative approach and mentoring support from talented leaders.\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package and are an equal opportunities employer\n* The role will ideally suit UK nationals are we are unable to offer sponsorship at the present time
