About the role
As a Planner you will be working in a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community. This local contract covers Redbridge council within the social housing sector. A Planner within our Dartford branch will perform admin duties, WIP management, take and receive calls, respond to emails, raise repairs, plan works, ensure operatives have a full diary of jobs every day, liaise with operatives and sub‑contractors, ensure all follow‑on work is completed and plan if operatives need to go back to site.
Day‑to‑day duties
* Take calls from clients and residents.
* Book appointments into operative diaries.
* Speak with operatives to confirm materials needed to complete jobs.
* Review emergencies to ensure these have been completed by the out‑of‑hours team.
* Ensure operative diaries are fully booked 2 weeks in advance.
Role criteria
* Previous experience in planning.
* Experience in diary management.
* Building maintenance experience.
* Experience working in a call centre.
* Good customer service skills.
* Experience working in a pressurised environment and dealing with challenging situations.
* Good time‑management, planning and organisational skills.
* Good computerised systems skills.
* Good written, verbal, questioning and interpersonal skills.
* Strong customer‑experience ethos.
