Quality Conformance Engineer - Broughton (Onsite)
Contract - 6 months | £24.64 PAYE / £32.96 Umbrella per hour
An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Conformance Engineer to join our client's Quality Development Programmes & Major Projects team based onsite in Broughton.
Overview
This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of complex engineering programmes, supporting high-profile modifications and developments within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Quality Conformance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring full quality industrialisation across major modifications, incremental developments and industrial transfers. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality stakeholders to drive robust quality standards from initial design through to serial production and rate ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the resolution of complex quality issues while driving continuous improvement activities.
Apply and deploy APQP methodologies and quality standards, facilitate FMEA activities across design, process and machinery, and create and maintain control plans to reflect ongoing modifications.
You will plan and execute Production Process Verification to validate manufacturing routings, support cost of non-quality forecasting, and provide hands-on quality support during start of production and test campaigns.
Ensuring product safety and supporting Production Organisation Approval activities will be a key focus throughout.Contract Details
This is a 6-month contract, operating onsite in Broughton on a double day shift pattern (initially days). The role is inside IR35, offering £24.64 per hour PAYE or £32.96 per hour via umbrella, with paid overtime available.
Requirements
Strong practical experience in quality/inspections.
Previous experience within aerospace or aeronautical environments is highly desirable, although candidates from the automotive sector with transferable skills will also be considered.
A solid understanding of preventative quality methods, APQP tools and structured problem-solving.
You must be comfortable working onsite and eligible to obtain BPSS+ clearance.This role would suit an experienced, hands‑on quality or inspection professional from aerospace or automotive who enjoys driving robust manufacturing quality.
