Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Tameside

Pay: £95 - 100 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced and qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support secondary school students in Tameside from September 2025. These roles will involve working closely with pupils who may need extra academic or emotional support in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students aged 11–16, either 1:1 or in small groups
* Help deliver catch-up interventions in Maths, English or Science
* Work alongside the class teacher to assist in lesson delivery
* Support students with SEND or EHCPs
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEN staff
* Encourage engagement, motivation and independent learning
Who we’re looking for:
* Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant or equivalent
* Experience in a secondary school or youth support role
* Confident supporting behaviour and learning needs
* Ability to build positive relationships with students
* An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willing to apply through us)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
