We are looking for a motivated and ambitious GP who will share our ethos and commitment to high quality patient care, to join our forward thinking, supportive, and friendly team. Experienced or newly qualified GPs (including those awaiting CCT) are welcome to apply. We are a small GMS practice of just over 3700 patients (growing rapidly) in Liverpool. Training practice for GP Trainees and undergraduate students from Liverpool University. Very proactive within our PCN with roles including First Contact Physio Practitioner, Nurse Associates, Clinical Pharmacists, Care Coordinators, Social Prescribers and Well-Being counsellors. Spacious, modern purpose-built premises with free dedicated parking.

Position Details

Accountable to: The Partners (Clinically) / Practice Manager (Administratively)
Responsibilities
* The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
* The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
* Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
* Effective management of long-term conditions
* Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, lab reports, Workflow documents, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
* Availability for a variety of duties including surgery consultations, video consultations, telephone consultations, urgent care duties and home visits
* Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
* Working collaboratively, sharing the workload
* Adhere to best practice as per clinical guidelines and audit processes
* Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
* Accept delegated responsibility for specific areas of the QOF
* Attend and contribute to practice meetings as required
* Contribute to development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance, training, financial management and HR
* Ensure compliance with the appraisal process and revalidation
* Commit to CPD and support training of medical students from clinical disciplines
* Support partners in achieving strategic aims, suggesting ways to enhance income and reduce expenditure
* Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies; promote a culture of continuous improvement
* Undertake normal duties and responsibilities of GP work in primary care
* Secondary responsibilities: participate in audits, local initiatives, and review of significant/near-miss events (RCA)
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* Qualified GP
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
* Full GMC Registration
* National Performers List registration
* Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
Desirable
* MRCGP
