What you’ll do
As a Physical Security Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our security operations—ensuring our environments are protected, compliant, and continuously improving. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver robust physical security aligned with industry standards and customer expectations.
1. You’ll support the customer and VBSE security relationship, becoming a trusted point of contact.
2. You’ll define and implement physical, personal, and procedural security measures across VBSE.
3. You’ll maintain and evolve our security policies and processes to stay ahead of emerging risks.
4. You’ll deliver on contractual security requirements, including Security Management Plans (SMP) and Security Aspects Letters (SAL).
5. You’ll conduct physical security audits aligned with SMP, NPSA, JSPs, ISO27001, and our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
6. You’ll manage and support physical security systems—Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control, CCTV—as well as secure doors, locks, and keys.
7. You’ll contribute to incident management and continuous improvement of our physical security posture.
Who you are
8. You have hands-on experience with HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF) and MoD publications.
9. You’re familiar with ISO27001/ISO27002 standards.
10. You’ve worked in physical security monitoring centers or with alarm installation/maintenance companies.
11. You’re eligible for Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
12. You bring solid ICT knowledge, including operating systems and alarm monitoring tools.
13. You hold (or are working toward) certifications like CISSP or ISO27001 Internal Auditor.
14. You have excellent skills in ICT, Maths, and English.
