About The Role
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct noise and vibration assessments for projects including residential, transportation, and industrial facilities.
* Investigate noise nuisance complaints and serve as an expert witness in planning inquiries and court hearings.
* Utilize advanced noise measurement tools and industry-leading software such as CadnaA.
* Prepare detailed technical reports with actionable recommendations.
* Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success.
* Participate in research to develop new noise mitigation techniques.
What We Are Looking For
* A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Acoustics, Noise and Vibration, or related fields.
* Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (IoA).
* At least three years of experience in acoustic consultancy with strong technical skills.
* Excellent communication skills, especially in technical report writing.
* A full UK driving license and ability to work independently and in teams.
What Your Day Might Look Like
* Conducting noise testing at a housing development or modeling noise impacts for infrastructure projects.
* Preparing evidence for planning inquiries or court hearings.
* Engaging in research on noise reduction strategies for public spaces.
* Working on projects for national agencies like Defra.
