About the Role
Legal Counsel reports to the Head of Intellectual Property (Global). The role provides legal support to the international business in all aspects of intellectual property, commercial contracts and compliance, ensuring the best possible legal advice and regulatory oversight during the company’s global expansion.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with IP affairs, including day‑to‑day trademark operations, clearance searches, filings and prosecution.
* Draft cease & desist letters and support enforcement strategies for the IP portfolio.
* Provide IP guidance and training to stakeholders across the business.
* Support day‑to‑day legal queries, identify risks and provide commercially sound advice.
* Develop and implement legal procedures and policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
* Draft, negotiate and review contracts such as supply agreements, co‑existence agreements, settlement agreements and licences.
* Assist with IP‑related disputes and legal proceedings, coordinating with outside counsel when required.
* Prepare papers and minutes for the Group’s monthly Intellectual Property Committee meetings.
* Prepare and conduct legal training for staff.

Professional Experience
* Qualified Solicitor – England and Wales (1–2 years’ PQE).
* Strong knowledge of intellectual property and commercial law.
* Solid training and qualifications from a leading national or international law firm or reputable business.
* Experience advising a global brand on multi‑jurisdictional issues is highly desirable.
Working Environment
* Office based in Central London (hybrid working – 3 days per week).
