About the Role
We are working with a well-established transport company seeking a reliable and customer-focused Transport Administrator to join their team. This role is key to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by providing high-quality customer support and administrative assistance across the business.
The successful candidate will act as a central point of contact for customers, drivers, and internal teams, helping to resolve queries efficiently while maintaining accurate records and a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
* Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email
* Handling booking requests, delivery queries, and service updates
* Liaising with drivers, transport planners, and internal departments
* Processing orders, updating systems, and maintaining accurate records
* Managing customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner
* Supporting the wider administrative function of the transport team
* Ensuring service level agreements and customer expectations are met
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Confident using IT systems, including MS Office
* A calm, professional approach with strong problem-solving skills
Desirable
* Experience within transport, logistics, or a similar operational environment
* Knowledge of transport planning systems or order management systems
