We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our Christchurch Team!
As our Facilities Assistant, you will provide crucial support for our business ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly. You will assist with both planned and reactive maintenance, working to find a quick resolution of any issues and ensuring Health & Safety compliance at all times.
The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for a variety of facility maintenance functions to include general maintenance activities, managing a helpdesk and planned preventative maintenance schedules, hosting external contractors, supporting the business as needed and a variety of ad-hoc duties.

Your Challenge
* Working as part of the Site Services team to deliver a best in class service
* Managing the Facilities maintenance and helpdesk software, ensuring both planned schedules and reactive tasks are completed in a timely manner.
* Supervising and coordinating maintenance work, both within your internal team and with external contractors. Performing maintenance duties such as furniture moves, electrical projects, spot painting and/or cleaning, minor repairs and/or exterior cleanup.
* Working outside with contractors on building and equipment repairs.
* Operating site equipment as needed, using hand and power tools as necessary.
* Responsible for waste management, recycling and associated duties.
* Maintaining documentation such as power diagrams, network diagram, space usage, etc.
* Supporting vendors/contractors such as Cleaning, Security, Catering etc.
* Ensuring Health & Safety is followed at all times.
What You Bring
* Good technical knowledge, understanding the basic principles of key facilities such as HVAC and electrical systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under own initiative and ability to prioritize tasks
* Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
* Flexibility to work ad-hoc hours to meet the needs of the role (on call basis)
* IT literate especially with Microsoft products (Outlook, Office suite)
* Hold a valid UK drivers license
