Daytona is the UKs leading outdoor karting business, with award-winning venues and a passionate team that puts experience and safety first. They're entering a new phase of strategic growth and transformationand theyre looking for a forward-thinking Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead their financial strategy.
THE ROLE
As CFO, youll sit at the heart of their leadership team, working directly with the CEO and other senior stakeholders. You will take full ownership of Daytonas financial operations, strategy, forecasting, and controls ensuring that we achieve sustainable growth and hit ambitious EBITDA targets across the Group.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Financial Leadership
Lead all aspects of cashflow management, stock control and financial forecasting
Provide robust insights to support strategic decision-making and growth
Own risk management, funding strategies and M&A due diligence
Deliver cost-saving initiatives and margin improvement across the group
Operational Finance & Reporting
Lead budgeting cycles, management accounts, and payroll
Oversee stock management across multiple departments
Maintain compliance including VAT, PCI DSS, and annual audits
Ensure reporting deadlines and statutory obligations are always met
Team Management & Development
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
Mentor and support your direct reports (Management Accountant and Purchase Ledger)
Champion a culture of accountability, accuracy, and process improvement
COLLABORATION & INTERNAL RELATIONS
You will work closely with various internal stakeholders, including:
CEO: Strategic financial planning and reporting
COO: Day-to-day management of the Daytona business
Sales & Marketing Teams: Monthly revenue forecasting and budgeting
Operations & Engineering Teams: Capex planning, asset management
HR Team: Workforce planning, payroll considerations, and financial forecasting
Venue General Managers: Finance meetings and budget reviews
ABOUT YOU
Proven senior finance experience, ideally within multi-site operations or leisure/retail
Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen
Confident communicator, able to influence at board level
Hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
