This role involves providing visible deterrence, responding to incidents, completing incident reports and collaborating with local authorities. You will patrol the shop floor, assess vulnerabilities, liaise with management, manage vulnerable persons, conduct colleague and contractor searches, and digitally report incidents using tablets or phones.
Responsibilities
* Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risk
* Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
* Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
* Completing colleague and contractor searches when required according to company policy
* Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
* Providing detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities
Requirements
* Valid SIA licence (Guarding or Door Supervisor)
* Previous experience in a retail security role is advantageous but not essential (training provided)
* Full 5‑year checkable work or education history
* Right to work documentation and recent proof of address
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Patience, de‑escalation ability and professionalism in conflict situations

Shift Pattern: Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat 11:00‑19:00 (varied shift pattern)
Hourly Rate: £12.68
