Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve:
* Using modelling software to model energy performance and assess compliance with building regulations.
* Assisting with on-site air tightness testing and interpreting results.
* Collaborating with team members to develop sustainability strategies for various building projects.
* Producing detailed reports and visualisations to support project delivery.
* Engaging in structured training and mentorship to enhance your technical skills.
Responsibilities
As a Graduate Energy Modeller, you will:
* Conduct energy modelling and building performance analysis.
* Support air tightness testing and compliance-related tasks.
* Assist with Part L assessments and other building regulations compliance.
* Create technical outputs using IES software and SketchUp.
* Develop and visualise building models for design and reporting purposes.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants on live projects.
* Contribute to technical reports, calculations, and sustainability strategies.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, or a related field.
* Some exposure to IES software (academic or placement experience is acceptable).
* Familiarity or interest in SketchUp (frequently used in this role).
* A keen interest in energy modelling, air testing, and building performance.
* Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development.
