Senior Delivery Consultant – Application Architect, Application Migration, Modernization and Management (AM3)
Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) team as a Delivery Consultant. In this role you will collaborate closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will drive customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
As a trusted advisor you will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions, gathering requirements, assessing current infrastructure, proposing migration strategies, guiding on emerging technologies, and leading implementation while ensuring best practice adherence, performance optimization, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
* Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies.
* Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
* Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.
Basic Qualifications
* Extensive experience in large‑scale software development with proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript).
* Proven track record in designing and building highly available, resilient, large‑scale distributed systems.
* Strong background in software engineering best practices, including code reviews, source control, testing, deployment, and release management.
* Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and leading innovation initiatives across teams or customers.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience as Software / Solution Architect, Lead Architect or similar role.
* Experience in architecting, designing and developing applications on the AWS platform.
* Experience in designing and modernizing applications using containers, serverless technologies and event‑driven architectures.
* Prior consulting experience working directly with customers and partners.
